When Proposition 64 passed, Lisa asked her son Jack to help her through California's new licensing process, which was complex and still being rolled out. Jack was already working with a collective of growers and building relationships with local dispensaries, so he knew the community and what it was up against.
Once they got through licensing, Jack and Lisa could see how many other growers were still struggling with it. They founded Flowra to help. As word spread and requests for help grew, Anna joined the team.
Flowra is still family owned and operated. Anna has gone on to open her own law practice just down the street, and Lisa and Jack are still working alongside the growers they set out to help.
Meet Lisa Wright, Co-Founder & CEO
Lisa has spent years in the rooms where cannabis policy actually gets written and enforced. She chairs the 2026 National Cannabis Industry Association’s Cultivation Committee, has submitted formal comment to the State Water Resources Control Board on behalf of small cottage-permit cultivators, and has been featured by outlets including Cannabis Now and ABC7 for her work advocating on behalf of California's legacy farmers.
Her position to state and local regulators has been consistent: viable, small-scale cannabis cultivation is an integral part of the environmental recovery and long-term sustainability of Trinity County and the North Coast region — a belief she's put in writing to state regulators, not just said out loud.
